A Casltedawson based entrepreneur is part of the team behind the first ever WordCamp in Belfast.
Izchel Boyd said the inaugurral event, which will take place at the Peter Frogatti Centre at Queen’s University in October, is for anyone who uses or want to use WordPress.

The IT Consultatn and digital marketer added that the weekend conference is the therefore ideal for Mid Ulster businesses, bloggers and anyone else interested in the platform.
“I’m very excited about this” she said. “Ine od the best things about WordCamp Belfast is that we’re also going to help 3 local charities during the weekend designing, developing and creating content for the them for free.”
Bringing together key influencers with both WordPress ovices and more experienced users, WordCamp has something to offer everyone.

Attedees can subsequently expect talks on everything from general tech issues and content creation to plugin design and much more.

At the official lunch event on July 1, the team also encouraged interested parties from Northern Ireland to speak or to become a sponsor.

A WordCamp spokesmans said: “We’re looking for amazing speakers to share their knowledge insight, skill, and experience. Anyone with a voice and a suitable topic to discuss or talk about, should submit a speaker proposal Speaking at a WordCamp is a great way to show and share your knowledgein your chosen topic”

WordCamp Belfastwill take place at Queen’s University, from October 1-2.
